FORTUNE® Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”  
The Everett Clinic has once again been named to FORTUNE Magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For” list. We are extremely proud to have earned a spot on this prestigious list for the third year in a row. Our commitment to 100 percent coverage of employee health insurance premiums and our HeroGram recognition program were among the top reasons for selection. The Everett Clinic is one of 10 healthcare organizations nationally to make the list. 

Seattle Business Magazine’s “Outstanding Healthcare Executive of the Year” 
We are extremely proud to announce that Rick Cooper, CEO, was named the winner of the Outstanding Healthcare Executive of the year award by Seattle Business Magazine. The award recognizes executives who demonstrate the highest dedication, leadership and innovation in Washington State’s healthcare industry.
 
Seattle Business Magazine’s “Top Large Company to Work for in WA State”  
The Everett Clinic was named by Seattle Business Magazine as the number one large company to work for in Washington State for the third consecutive year. The magazine recognized The Everett Clinic for our communication with staff and physicians, performance feedback, promoting from within, and continuous work to truly listen to employees. The Clinic joins a select group of organizations that have made staff satisfaction a top priority.

Becker’s Review Best in Healthcare  
The Everett Clinic was named to the Becker’s Hospital Review/Becker’s ASC Review list of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The workplaces named to the list represented leading healthcare systems across the country including Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, Stanford Hospital, and the University of Washington Medical Center. Those selected for the list are “organizations that have put tremendous thought into the building blocks that make up a great workplace: robust benefits, opportunities for self-improvement, employee appreciation and strong ties between staff members.” 

MarCom Awards 
The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) awarded The Everett Clinic the highly coveted Acclaim award. This is AMGA’s most prestigious award, honoring physician-directed organizations that bring safer, more responsive and integrated healthcare to patients. The Everett Clinic was recognized for our “Big Dot Metrics” initiative, a measuring system that evaluated six areas of care and used the results to make significant improvements.

Top Doc Honors 
The Everett Clinic has had over twenty physicians recognized as a “Top Doc” in one of two regional publications announcing top doctor lists: Seattle Magazine and Washington Magazine. Both magazines’ annual Top Doctors lists are based on surveys of thousands of medical professionals. The surveys ask medical peers to name providers who they would seek out for their own care or the care of a loved one.

Circle of Life Award® 
The “Partners in Palliative Care” program — a partnership between The Everett Clinic and Providence Hospice and Homecare of Snohomish County — was named a Circle of Life Award® winner by the American Hospital Association. The Partners in Palliative Care program focuses on promoting quality of life and alleviating suffering during the last two years of life and is a team-oriented approach to medical are, pain management and emotional support, designed to meet the needs and wishes of patients. The program decreases unnecessary and/or unwanted hospitalizations and emergency room visits, while providing the highest quality care and connecting patients with valuable community resources.

National Acclaim Award  
The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) awarded The Everett Clinic the highly coveted Acclaim award. National Medicare Study  
The Everett Clinic was chosen as one of ten physician group practices to participate in a national demonstration project by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The project focuses on improving healthcare for seniors. The Everett Clinic was the only group to be selected on the west coast.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Finalist  
Rick Cooper, CEO of The Everett Clinic, was selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Pacific Northwest. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Cooper was selected as a finalist from nearly 60 nominations by a panel of independent judges.

CEO Cancer Gold Standard  
The Everett Clinic has received CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ accreditation, recognizing its commitment to reducing the risk of cancer for employees and covered family members by promoting healthy lifestyle choices, encouraging early detection through cancer screenings, and ensuring access to quality treatment.

Herald Business Journal Executive of the Year  
The Herald Business Journal presented Everett Clinic CEO, Rick Cooper, with the award for Executive of the Year. Mr. Cooper’s immense drive and passion for improving health care as well as his work in his community has led him to be named The Herald Business Journal’s 2013 Executive of the Year. He received the honor at Economic Alliance Snohomish County’s annual meeting.

Henry M. Jackson Citizen of the Year  
Rick Cooper, Everett Clinic CEO, was honored by the Economic Alliance with the Henry M. Jackson Citizen of the Year award. Established in 1977, the Citizen of the Year Award was named for late Senator Henry M. “Scoop” Jackson, and honors an individual who demonstrates exemplary service to the community and is committed to the business interests of the region.

Top Philanthropist  
Named as one of the Top 75 Corporate Philanthropists in the Puget Sound region by the Puget Sound Business Journal. Since 1994, The Everett Clinic Foundation has contributed more than $3.2 million to charitable organizations throughout Snohomish County.

Two Patient Safety Awards  
The Washington State Medical Association awarded The Everett Clinic with two patient safety awards. The first was for implementing a program that significantly reduces medication errors and potential medication errors. The second award was for the development of a blame-free, intranet based reporting system to report unexpected or unusual events that happen or almost happen.

Employer of the Year Award  
The Everett Clinic was named the Employer of the Year by the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce. The award is given to one company a year who exemplifies excellence in management, mentoring, leadership and creating a positive role models for employees.

$1.03 Million Grant to Study Electronic Prescribing
The Everett Clinic and the University of Washington School of Pharmacy were awarded a $1.03 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to evaluate and analyze how computerized prescribing in an outpatient setting improves medication safety and patient outcomes.

Washington CEO magazine named The Everett Clinic as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Washington State. The Everett Clinic is a three time winner of this award.

Participation in First Ever Healthcare Quality Score Card 
The Everett Clinic collaborated with Premera Blue Cross and other medical groups in Washington State to pilot a Quality Score Card based on national healthcare standards. The scorecard measured performance in 17 areas ranging from diabetes care to breast cancer screening. The Everett Clinic continues to be a top performing group on several measures.

Seattle Business Magazine Green Award  
Seattle Business Magazine honored The Everett Clinic as part of its Green Washington Awards, which recognize companies at the forefront of making Washington State a greener place to live and work. The Everett Clinic was selected for its efforts to reduce its footprint through innovative ideas. Coupled with local partnerships and a commitment to employee environmental education, The Everett Clinic was selected for extending its green initiatives outside the clinic walls.

Governor’s Commute Smart Award
The Everett Clinic was recognized by Governor Chris Gregoire for our leadership in helping solve regional transportation challenges.

$50,000 Grant to Develop Model Safety Program 
The National Committee for Quality Assurance, the American Medical Group Association and Pharmacia Corporation awarded $50,000 to The Everett Clinic, one of only eight healthcare providers in the country, for the national SCOPE (Safety Collaborative in the Out Patient Environment) award to focus on programs that target patient safety in the ambulatory and outpatient setting. Results from the project will lead to model programs and best practices, which will be adopted and used throughout the healthcare industry.

National Preeminence Award  
The American Medical Group Association recognized The Everett Clinic with one of three national medical group Preeminence Awards. The award was given in recognition of exceptional leadership, innovation and vision, contributions to the advancement of quality, effective healthcare delivery practices and structure, and outstanding contributions to the local community.

Diabetes Physician Recognition Program  
The National Committee for Quality (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association recognized The Everett Clinic for providing high quality care to patients with diabetes.

Excellence in Healthcare Quality Award  
The Everett Clinic was one of only five Washington State healthcare organizations chosen by Seattle based Qualis Health to receive the Excellence in Healthcare Quality Award for innovation and measurable improvements in healthcare.

National Publications Recognize Innovative Practices
Many national publications including USA Today, The New York Times and US News and World Reports have featured The Everett Clinic for their ground breaking policy of banning free drug samples provided by pharmaceutical companies. Rather than relying on pharmaceutical company representatives, The Everett Clinic invests in an experienced clinical pharmacist team to educate their physicians about drug information.

American Medical Group Association Advocacy Award  
The Everett Clinic was selected for the Congressional Advocacy Award for outstanding work in lobbying for policies that advance high quality, cost effective, and patient-centered healthcare.

Center of Occupational Health and Education (COHE)  
The Everett Clinic is contracted with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries as one of the few COHE’s selected across the State. Since our contract began in January 2007, we have implemented the occupational health best practices to promote employer and injured worker connectivity, prevent disability and minimize lost work time when injuries do occur.

The Heart/Stroke Recognition Program  
The Everett Clinic was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance and the American Heart Association for utilizing evidence-based measures and providing excellent care to patients with cardiovascular disease or stroke.

Golden Apple Award 
The Everett Clinic was honored for excellence in the promotion of healthy employees by The Healthy Worksite Summit. The award was given in recognition of its Wellness Challenge®, an incentive program to help employees improve their overall health.
