The Everett Clinic has been named as one of the 2012 Top 75 Corporate Philanthropists in the Puget Sound region by the Puget Sound Business Journal. The Clinic was ranked #2 in the medium sized business category. This is the second year in a row the Clinic was named to the list.

“This honor is a reflection of the dedicated contributions by The Everett Clinic Foundation, our staff and physicians, and the organization as a whole,” said the Clinic’s Chief Executive Officer, Rick Cooper. “Collectively our investment in the communities in which we work and live is driving positive change that reflects the value we place in giving back.”

The Clinic was recognized for sharing its success with the community through grants, fundraisers, sponsorships, and donations.

Last year The Everett Clinic Foundation gave away$364,220 in philanthropy dollars. Included in that total are the donations of staff and physicians who contributed $165,295 to the Foundation. The Foundation in turn helped many in need through charitable grants, Operation Outreach, the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund, Lend a Hand, and the McDonald Fund.

The Everett Clinic as an organization (separate from the Foundation) also donated significant philanthropy dollars. The Clinic gave $517,087 toward worthy causes which included $250,000 to the Providence Foundation in support of the new Cymbaluk Medical Tower, $70,000 to United Way of Snohomish County, and $20,500 toward the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund.
