James A. Dauer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He sees people of all ages in individual, family and couples therapy.  He was the program manager and program therapist for 5 years for an inpatient psychiatric unit for children and adolescents, and deeply enjoys helping young people and families create improved individual and family conditions. Mr. Dauer specializes in helping children manage their anger and overcome other behavior challenges. His specialties also include adolescents that are having trouble coping with strong feelings, having difficulty making healthy/smart choices, or having other behavior challenges. He has also provided mental health services to adults for 2 years, with experience in anxiety, adjusting to change, depression, post-traumatic stress, abuse and relationship challenges, couples therapy, and helping one find meaning or spirituality.
