In the Hand Surgery & Therapy Department, we take an advanced, multi-disciplinary, and comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with hand disorders and injuries. We provide a full spectrum of services including hand surgery and rehabilitative therapy services. This department includes three hand surgeons, a physician's assistant, and two Certified Hand Therapists (CHT).
Certified Hand Therapists have to achieve over 4,000 hours of direct patient care in hand therapy and be in practice for over 5 years before they can sit for the CHT exam. Exam passage rates are under 60% per year. Working with a CHT assures you will be treated by a qualified practitioner for upper extremity problems.
