Please check in with the Allergy receptionist for your injection and have a seat in the waiting room. Injections are given on a first come, first served basis. There is a required 30 minute wait in our office after each injection since most reactions occur within this time frame. In case of a reaction, medications will be given to reverse severe shot reactions. This will require you to stay longer to be observed. We try to make your wait as short as possible.
Here are a few tips to minimize your wait:
Your wait may be shorter if you come in early on the day of your shot. Our busiest time is from 3 to 5 pm, when your wait could be up to 30 minutes. Use our reminder cards to help remember when your next shot is due. Many people find it easier to remember their shot if they come in on the same day each month.
Please remove your coat prior to coming into the shot room, so your upper arm is accessible.
