The Everett Clinic Foundation awarded a $20,000 grant to Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County. The grant will be used to help feed the about 3,400 children served by the clubs each day across the county via the Kids Café program.
Through Kids Café, the Clubs provide healthy, filling, hot snacks and meals to kids after school. Many of the kids who participate in Kids Café would not have an afternoon snack or dinner without the Clubs. With the assistance of The Everett Clinic Foundation, BGCSC anticipates serving nearly 413,000 snacks and meals to hungry kids across the county this year.
Pacific Youth Foundation, EverTrust Foundation, and the Nysether Family Foundation also awarded grants to support the clubs in 2015.
