Alanna Dombrowski, LICSW
“I want to listen empathetically and provide a safe place for sharing.”
My hope is to provide an empathic ear and safe space for individuals to share experiences and feelings that may have impacted their life in a profound way. Sharing these experiences and emotions may give an individual the space to begin creating the change they seek to live a wholehearted life.
The practice of social work seeks to facilitate the welfare of communities, individuals, families and groups. My affinity for social work lies in its ability to be guided by principles of social justice, rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversity.
My interests lie in a client-centered, strength-based approach. I draw on theories such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), choice theory, family systems and motivational interviewing to assist individuals in identifying barriers to their personal growth.
