J. William Finley, MD
J. William (Bill) Finley, M.D., joined The Everett Clinic in 2003. Dr. Finley received his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his General Surgery residency at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He completed a Trauma & Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Oregon Health and Sciences University, and a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. In January 2008, Dr. Finley and his surgical colleagues in Everett initiated the General Surgery Team (GST), in a partnership between The Everett Clinic and Providence Regional Medical Center-Everett. In January of 2015, the program was renamed Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS). TACS is a successful program, unique for non-academic medical centers, providing 24 hours per day/7 days per week in-hospital surgical coverage for patients with emergent, urgent, and traumatic surgical needs. Dr. Finley served as the Medical Director for TACS from its inception until 2016. Dr. Finley also served as a Surgical Provider Informaticist with Providence Health System, optimizing the use of an electronic health record (EHR) in the care of surgical patients.
