Steve Martinez, MD
“I acknowledge my limitations, recognize my imperfections and continually seek to improve.”
As much as possible, I believe in providing my patients with personalized, multidisciplinary care. This is done by providing choices with respect to surgical and medical treatment. These choices take into account each patient s circumstances. My professional opinion is based on the most current medical evidence, extensive personal experience, and the contribution of my colleagues in the fields of surgery, medical oncology, radiology, radiation oncology, pathology, physical therapy, nursing and genetics, among others.
While I was trained broadly in the field of Surgical Oncology, I feel that narrowing my practice has allowed me to provide more expert care. My clinical focus is on breast diseases, including breast cancer, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, melanoma and skin cancers, as well as soft tissue tumors such as sarcomas. I have a personal interest in performing outcomes and population-based research in these areas, with a focus on improving care and eliminating healthcare disparities.
Why The Everett Clinic?
I chose to practice at The Everett Clinic because I felt that it provided an ideal platform for me to provide well-coordinated, efficient, multidisciplinary care of my patients with breast, endocrine, and general Surgical Oncology issues.
