Alka Atal-Barrio, MD, MMM, FAAP

Dr. Alka Atal-Barrio is a practicing pediatrician and chief medical (CMO) officer at The Everett Clinic. She oversees medical staff management, clinical programs and policies, quality and safety, clinical pharmacy and advancing the clinic’s care model.
Her leadership helps ensure that we continue to offer high-quality, affordable care as we shift to a value-based care model that supports population health.
Atal-Barrio joined The Everett Clinic in 1994. Before being named CMO in 2019, she held a variety of medical leadership roles.
She was facility medical director from 2001 to 2013, primary care service line medical director from 2014 to 2016 and chief clinical officer from 2016 to 2018. She also served on the clinic’s board of directors.
Atal-Barrio has been actively providing patient care for 26 years. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Awards include being named a Top Doc by Seattle Magazine. She was honored with the Outstanding Physician Leadership Award in 2012.
