Jason Wood has spent the last seventeen years in IT leadership roles within medical group, academic medicine and biotechnology organizations.
He currently holds the role of CIO for Optum Northwest. This role allows him to pursue his passion of improving the healthcare system by focusing on a transition to value and Digital Health.
Prior to joining DaVita, he held the role of CIO for BroadPath Healthcare Inc., where he built out their provider-focused consulting practice.
Before BroadPath he held dual roles as CIO of the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason and Executive Director – IT of the Immune Tolerance Network (ITN).
Wood earned a B.A. in Business Administration – MIS from Washington State University, an M.S. in Information Systems Management at Seattle Pacific University and an MBA – Healthcare from the University of Arizona.
In addition to his academic training, his certifications include Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
