New Pap Smear Guidelines - Jennifer Schauer, ARNP

Jennifer Schauer, ARNP, says it is no longer needed to have a pap smear at each annual exam if you are also being co-tested for the human papillomavirus (HPV). If you are over the age of 30 you should have a pap smear every five years. Under 30 testing should take place every 3 years.
