Last week, the Snohomish Chapter of the American Red Cross held an event recognizing outstanding volunteers in the area. As part of their appreciation, they awarded their first ever Good Neighbor Award jointly to The Everett Clinic and The Everett Clinic Foundation. The award was given in recognition of consistent support for the American Red Cross and its clients. Mr. Cooper and Dr. Dash accepted the award on behalf of the Clinic and its Foundation.
While giving the award, Chuck Morrison of the Red Cross said:
"The Good Neighbor Award is presented to a local organization that provides significant ongoing support to Red Cross; that support can include good and/or services. The Everett Clinic and its Foundation are among the most generous of corporations and foundations in our community. Their logo is prominently displayed in seemingly countless 'Thank you' ads in The Daily Herald, the type of ads that local non-profits buy to say thank you to their major corporate and individual donors. In the 10½ years that I’ve been at Red Cross The Everett Clinic and its Foundation have supported our local efforts on an annual basis, and TEC employees, through the Foundation, have donated generously for extremely large disasters, like Hurricane Katrina, like Superstorm Sandy, like the Haiti earthquake, like the Japanese tsunami, and like the Washington landslide.”
