Zarry Tavakkol, MD, a dermatologist with The Everett Clinic talks about sunburns. Early life sunburns are very damaging and dangerous. Children should be protected from the sun in every possible way. Make sure your children wear sun protective clothing to cover their skin and put at least a SPF30 (ideally a SPF50) on any exposed areas of skin. Wearing sunscreen daily helps prevent aging of the skin as well as decreases the risk of skin cancer.
