The DAISY Award: honoring our nurses

The family of J. Patrick Barnes created The DAISY Award in 1999 to honor the great work nurses do for patients and families every day. Barnes died at age 33 after spending eight weeks in the hospital, where nurses offered skillful and compassionate care.

Today, patients, families and staff at thousands of health care organizations, including The Everett Clinic, nominate nurses for this award.
