Optometrists are dedicated to helping you find the right pair of contact lenses for your lifestyle. Contact lens exams should be scheduled every one to two years. Talk to an eye doctor to find out the schedule they recommend for you.
Fees may vary depending on the complexity of your case and your prior experience with contact lenses. A new contact lens wearer may have an evaluation fee for a fit evaluation, 40-minute training session on insertion and removal techniques and any follow-up visits needed. An experienced contact lens wearer getting a new type or brand of contact lens might expect an evaluation fee of $114-174* which would cover any follow-up visits needed. An experienced contact lens wearer with little to no change in their prescription should expect an evaluation fee of $32*.
If you have prior history wearing contact lenses or currently wear contact lenses, please wear your contact lenses to your appointment and bring your contact lens boxes or prior prescription. Without seeing the contact lenses and how they currently fit, an evaluation may turn in to a refit exam based on complexity.
