Michael J. Tamber, MD
“I practice evidence-based endocrinology, recognizing that individualized clinical assessment is always necessary, as many patients do not follow the textbook.”
I enjoy answering questions thoroughly and ensuring you understand both your condition and the plan of action. With more patients educating themselves on the Internet, my role is also to help you separate the helpful information from the not-so-helpful. I find endocrinology fascinating because hormones affect so many different systems in the body. There is also so much active research in this field that I am always learning something new.
I specialize in the treatment of thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and functional thyroid problems (hypo- and hyperthyroidism). I also treat most general endocrine problems, including: parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, male hypogonadism (low testosterone), osteoporosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. In addition, I am one of the few providers in the region providing cross-hormone therapy for transgender patients.
Why The Everett Clinic?
I chose The Everett Clinic because of its reputation as a very well-run organization with a focus on providing high-quality care.
